As a part of our digital transformation, we have redesigned our AliMed.com website. We've updated our main navigation to align with industry best practices. While the new, simplified layout may feel like a big change, it's designed to make finding products and information easier, while improving your online shopping experience. 

We've also streamlined how we organize products, reducing over 30 categories to 10 primary categories with relevant subcategories. This change shortens the number of clicks needed to find products and improves the overall shopping experience. While it's a significant shift, all products remain searchable, and our customer service team is here if you need assistance. 

Yes, we have updated our business processes to align with industry best practices in creating accounts.

If you are a consumer - upon signup, select that you are not affiliated with a business. You will be prompted to fill out account profile details and can start shopping.

If you are a Business - you will have 2 options upon signing up.

  • If you already have an AliMed account - select that you are already affiliated with a company, fill out the appropriate details and submit your form. Someone from our customer service team will be able to assist you in ensuring your email address is associated with your account. 
  • If you are a business that is a new customer to AliMed - select that you are not affiliated with a company. Fill out the appropriate details and submit your tax-exempt form & credit application if applicable. Your form submission will be directed to our customer service team, who will then ensure your account is set up appropriately and work internally to have your paperwork processed. 

Please note, it will take approximately 3 business days from your submission date for your account details to be processed. If you have not heard back within that time frame, reach out to our customer service team for further support.

If you created an AliMed account before May 1, 2025, you will still be able to access it on our redesigned website using the same email address – there is no need to create a new account.

Simply enter the same email address you used when setting up your account. Instead of using a password, our updated login process now sends a one-time 6-digit passcode to your email for a secure and simplified login experience.

Once logged in, you may notice your Account Profile page and header look different, with some information now located in new places. If you are unable to find information, please contact our customer service team and someone will be able to support you.

You will have access to view all website orders dating back to December 1, 2023. If you need any order information prior to that date, please contact our customer service team and someone will be able to support you.

Yes, shipping locations are synonymous with shipping addresses. Upon login and navigating from your account page to shopping, you will be prompted to select your shipping location. This address will be pre-populated for you at checkout. If you find that you've selected an incorrect address, you will still have time to change your shipping location at time of checkout.

At this time, the ability to view invoices on your account profile page is not available. If you need copies of your invoices, please contact our customer service team and someone will be able to send them over to you.

Orders and Invoices

Follow these steps to place an order on AliMed.com.

  1. Select the product option (size, color, etc).
  2. Click the “Add to Cart” button to place items you would like to purchase in your cart.
  3. Once you have finished shopping, click on the cart icon located on the right-hand top corner of your screen and review the items you selected. If you are ready to submit an order, click “Checkout”.
  4. Upon checkout, you have the option to login to your account with a 6-digit passcode, create a new account or checkout as a "guest" customer.
  5. Enter or confirm your billing and shipping addresses.
  6. Select the preferred shipping option.
  7. Confirm your payment method.
  8. Click “Place Order”.

An order confirmation email with the details of your order will be sent to your registered email address. If you haven’t received order confirmation details, check your junk mail, as our emails are generated automatically.

You can also view your order online if you have an account in "Orders" under your profile.

After placing your order, you'll see your order confirmation live on screen and you will also receive an email with your order number and details. Orders are transmitted quickly into our warehouse to process for shipment, making cancellation sometimes difficuly. At AliMed.com, we secure your information with a digital certificate from Verisign, Inc., a leading provider of internet trust services. When you enter a secure portion of the website (any page that shows your account information), you will see a closed lock or a solid key at the bottom of your browser. If you click on this, a popup window displays our website security information. This certificate is a guarantee that your account information is being transmitted in a Secure Socket Layer (SSL), the industry-standard 128-bit encryption technology security protocol. All of your account and order information is encrypted using this secure server for maximum security.

To ensure you see the most accurate product availability, pricing, and shipping options for your region, our website may require you to confirm your location when you navigate away from your account page. You can view your order history by logging into your account and navigating to the "Order History" section. Please note that order history is accessible only from December 2023 onward. Orders placed before this date will not be available in your account. If you need access to an order placed before this date, please contact our Customer Service team, and a representative will assist you.

Absolutely! It takes just a few seconds to enroll. Simply complete and submit the form, and your billing settings will be updated within 2 business days.

  • Receive PDF invoices directly in your inbox—no lost mail.
  • Electronically file (or even print!) for easy archiving and retrieval.

Shipping Information

  • Carriers: AliMed Ships FedEx or UPS whenever possible.
  • Charges: final shipping and handling charges are prepaid and added to your invoice.
  • Oversize Items (indicated via an icon) have additioanl charges due to the size and weight of product. We make every attempt to minimize the impact of these charges to our customers by consolidating orders as much as possible.
  • Hazardous Items (indicated via icon): Must ship by standard ground shipping. A $35 additional shipping charge applies.
  • Shipping Time: Orders placed Monday through Friday before 3 PM ET are typically shipped the same business day. Shipping does not occur on weekends or national US Holidays.

Exceptions include:

  • Drop Ship Items - lead times vary depending on manufacturer
  • Back-Ordered Items - these will ship upon availablility.
    Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico: AliMed ships to these locations but costs vary based on destination, weight, and dimensions.
  • COD Orders are not available.

Additional shipping charges apply to all items that ship by truck. These items are indicated with a Truck icon. Products are delivered to your receiving dock. For Liftgate Trucks add an additional $125 to your order. For Inside Delivery add $75 to your order. Final shipping and handling charges are added to your invoice.

Delivery inspection is required on all truck shipments - All truck shipments must be fully inspected by the receiver before signing for the delivery to insure there is no concealed damage. If you cannot inspect immediately, make a note “pending inspection” with your signature. Any damaged shipment received should be refused by the receiver. These guidelines must be strictly followed in order to receive any credit on truck shipment orders.

Note: AliMed does NOT provide overnight delivery on orders that require truck delivery.

Fuel Surcharges - Due to escalating fuel charges from our freight carriers, we are forced to pass on a fuel surcharge on all truck orders.

Your shipment is 100% insured against loss or damage.

Damaged or Short Shipments
You are responsible for claim processing. If the shipment arrives damaged or with parts missing, contact the carrier immediately. Before we can make any adjustment, you must file the damage claim with the carrier. Be sure to save the product packaging. Damaged and short shipments must be reported within 5 days of receipt.

Small Package Routing Section:

When possible, shipments of 250 LB Chargeable weight and under should be shipped via UPS. Observe UPS size and weight restrictions. Refer to AliMed PO for UPS account number.

LTL Motor Carrier Routing Section, Up to 6 pallets and 5,000 Lbs.:

For shipments too large for UPS (over 250 Lbs) or not suitable for transport by UPS:

Overdue accounts are subject to a late payment fee of 1.5% per month, resulting in an annual rate of 18% and any collection charges that are incurred.

No, You can purchase the item from AliMed.com and then submit our Invoice to your insurance company for reimbursement.

We do have some Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) code suggestions based on publicly available information as a convenience to our customers. We do not make claims, promises or guarantees as to the availability of reimbursement for any AliMed or distributed product. It is within the sole discretion of the customer to determine the appropriate billing code for a product, as well as, whether the use of a product complies with medical necessity and other documentation requirements of the payor. AliMed accepts no responsibility whatsoever in this regard.

Sales Tax

We are required to include sales tax as a result of a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision (S. Dakota v. Wayfair) that established new rules requiring sellers to collect sales tax for states in which they have customers and a minimum amount of sales. Since the decision, many states have established requirements to collect tax if a seller has more than $100,000 in sales into the state during the year. AliMed meets that standard in all fifty states including the District of Columbia.

No, but you must provide AliMed with a valid state tax exemption certificate (from your state and any state you ship to) so that we can properly designate you as exempt.

There are three types of exemption certificates:

  1. If you are reselling our products, please provide your state’s resale exemption certificate, including your sales tax registration number for that state.
  2. If you are a nonprofit organization, please provide your state’s nonprofit organization exemption certificate or a copy of the letter from the state granting you an exemption.
  3. Many states use the Streamlined Sales Tax Exemption Certificate form or a Multijurisdictional Exemption Certificate. These forms are acceptable if they are also accepted by your state.

For a certificate to be valid, the following items must be present:

  1. Seller name
  2. Purchaser name
  3. Signature (handwritten, e-signatures, and stamped signatures will be accepted)
  4. Signature date
  5. Description of purchaser’s business activity

Note: AliMed cannot advise you on what specific exemption certificate is right for you in your state, so you may want to consult your tax advisor to ensure you use the correct form. Whatever form is used, it is important to fill out all applicable information (name, address, type of business, exemption being sought, sales tax number...etc.) because an incomplete form may be rejected by the state.

No, these are not valid exemption certificates.

No, that is not a valid exemption certificate as it is a federal and not a state form. Also, not all states grant sales tax exemption to organizations that are exempt from federal income tax. If your state exempts you from sales tax, we need the state exemption certificate or letter.

Please send your exemption certificate as soon as possible. If it is fully completed, we will designate you as an exempt customer in our system and will no longer add sales tax to your invoices. You may also request that any tax billed previously be credited against future bills.

Returns

We strive to keep our customers satisfied by offering quality products, professional service, and competitive pricing. Our return policy is consistent in maintaining the best value and highest service level for all of our customers. Unless merchandise is defective, returns will be subject to a 20% minimum restocking fee (except where noted below). Non-stocked items that have been “drop shipped” from our vendor will be subject to restocking fees that vary by individual vendor. These guidelines must be followed in order to receive credit:

  • Product must be in new, resalable, unmarked condition, and in original and unopened packaging.*
  • A Return Material Authorization number (RMA) is always required. To obtain an RMA number, please fill out the form or contact AliMed Customer Service at 1-800-225-2610, Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. EST. 
  • Refunds will be for merchandise value only.
  • Returns cannot be accepted for special orders, custom products, shoes, products used for drinking or eating, orthotics in opened packages, books, videos, and toileting products.
  • All returns are subject to a 20% minimum restocking charge. (Note: Medical Cart returns include a 25% restocking charge).
  • There are no returns on discontinued items.
  • Customers have up to 30 days to initiate a return from the invoice date on stock products.
  • No returns will be allowed on products with less than three (3) months of shelf life remaining.
  • Please allow 3-4 weeks to process your credit.
  • Credits exclude shipping and handling charges.
  • No call tag/pickup slips will be issued. It is your responsibility to return the merchandise to AliMed, unless item is a non-stocked item in which case you will be provided different address details.
  • AliMed will not accept any product returns with biohazard contamination.
  • AliMed cannot guarantee credit if a return is unauthorized or does not have an RMA number.


* Items arriving in bags or shrink wrap cannot be ripped or torn or will be considered opened.

AliMed will not accept defective returns for altered items. Please notify AliMed immediately regarding a defect, and we will evaluate your request.

Must be reported within 5 days of receipt. It is also required to provide a picture of the damaged item/box through the additional information upload feature on the right of this page. Be sure to note any damage or poor box conditions when signing for packages. If shipment arrives damaged or with parts missing, contact the carrier immediately. Be sure to save product packaging. All shipping charges and risk of loss are F.O.B. shipping point and are the responsibility of the purchaser.

Items that were fulfilled from 3rd party vendors, need to be returned via 3rd party vendor.
Items that were fulfilled from Amazon, need to be returned via Amazon.

Made to Order

  • Complete a Made to Order Product Request Form, specifying quantity at time of submission will help formalize your request.
  • Our customer service team will write up a quote that includes both pricing (including quantity discounts were applicable) and shipping to review. Please allow 2-4 business days for it to be delivered to your inbox. They are valid for 30 business days from the date on the quote.
  • After quote is received, you can change specifications of a product. This will require a new quote to reflect your new specs, and new form may need to be submitted.
  • Once you are ready to purchase, email a copy of your quote and a purchase order to madetoorder@alimed.com.
    Complexity of your products will be determined at time of order. Please allow 2-4 weeks for processing.

Made to Order products are not returnable. AliMed guarantees Made to Order products will be made to your specifications.

AliMed will NOT ship international orders to hotels in the U.S. under any circumstances.

Final shipping and handling charges are prepaid and added to your invoice. UPS is our preferred shipper. We can ship small packages on your UPS or FedEx account if provided, this will incur a $9.99 handling fee.

Shipping rates, including Canada, reflect the base shipping charge only and does not include any customs duties, taxes and/or other country specific fees.

Oversized Items and Bulk Orders shipping outside the U.S. must be arranged for pickup/shipment by the customers designated freight forwarder.

CODs are not available.

IN-STOCK items will generally ship within 24-48 hours.  Large volume or bulk orders may require additional time to prepare.

NON-STOCK items’ delivery times will vary by vendor.  The lead time for non-stock items is an estimate only.  Please contact AliMed for more information.

Customs duties and taxes are tariffs applied to goods transported across international borders. The importer or receiving customer is responsible for these duties and taxes. If you have a customs broker handling your order(s), please provide their contact information when placing your order.

If import fees are not settled, the shipment may be abandoned, lost, or undeliverable. AliMed will not issue refunds for orders that are returned or refused by the customer due to unsettled fees.

All International orders are prepaid only. AliMed accepts payment by Credit Card or ACH/ Wire Transfer. To safeguard your information, Credit Card data must be taken over the phone by AliMed’s Customer Care team only.

AliMed SKU Changes

As of November 1, 2023, we no longer accept orders with our former item numbers. All customers must use our new 10-digit '297' SKUs to avoid any interruptions to your order.

Any order submitted with the former item numbers will not be accepted or processed, and you will be required to resubmit your purchase order with the new 10-digit SKUs to complete your purchase.
