METRIS™ Comfort Seat Geri-Chair Overlay secures to a geri-chair with VELCRO® Brand straps and can be used with many geri-chair accessories. It is a rotational fluid-resistant overlay made up of 3 different areas of foam and gel that are covered with two fabrics (one on each side). It provides protection for sensitive skin, helps prevent skin breakdown and ensures patient comfort.
The viscoelastic memory foam back supports and contours the upper body for maximum comfort. The foam/gel seating surface has high density foam with an internal dual chamber gel pad and provides a cool, comfortable interface that evenly maintains gel in the area of highest pressure preventing skin breakdown. In the leg area, independent cell foam allows greater air flow and circulation to the legs.
The rotational fluid-resistant/fluid-proof cover has a soft peach skin fabric that is strong, durable antimicrobial and improves moisture evaporation. The other side of the overlay is fluid-proof SURE-CHECK™ thermoplastic fabric composite; strong, durable, antimicrobial, antistatic, flame resistant, stain, odor and fluid proof.
The overlay is also cleanable, the peach skin fabric is washable and SURE-CHEK™ cover can be used with approved disinfectants (when used in accordance with mfg. directions): Virox5, CaviWipes, Viro-Chek, Alcide LD. Light Blue.
