Jay® Adjustable Drop Seat Molded, reinforced, anti-slide urethane. Won't warp or rot. Hook retainers prevent seat from sliding backwards, forwards, or accidentally popping out of wheelchair. Raise or lower seat height in 1/2" increments. Hooks easily into wheelchair rails: snaps out quickly. Seat angle adjusts front-to-back or side-to-side. Should be used with a cushion (not included).
Adult: Adjusts 15" to 18"W, 12" to 18"D, 1" rise, 1-1/2" drop.
Large Adult: Adjusts18-1/2" to 22"W, 12" to 22"D, 1" rise, 1-1/2" drop.
Drop seats create a flat,
low-height wheelchair seating
surface without having to make
adjustments to the wheelchair frame.
By lowering the sitting surface, you can
use a higher-profile pressure-relieving
cushion without sitting the patient too
high in the chair, reducing fall risk. Drop
seats allow user’s feet to reach the
floor or foot supports for safer transfers,
independent wheelchair mobility, and
improved posture. Most drop seats can also
be set at an incline (by adjusting rear straps
lower than front straps), creating a wedge
effect on a traditional flat cushion. Reclined
position helps limit forward sliding, reducing
falls and skin breakdown.
