More About This Product
FREEDOM Form Custom-Moldable ThumbKeeper All the features first brought to you with AliMed's Freedom® ThumbKeeper splint. Immobilization of CMC joint with total functional freedom of other fingers plus the ability to custom mold and fit instantly.
How it works: Have you used malleable aluminum finger splints in the past and found them to be difficult to bend in two directions simultaneously? AliMed's innovation overcomes this limitation, allowing complex curve fitting to normal anatomy. Splint comes premolded - simply apply strapping. In critical edge areas, flare edges away from body to avoid pinching. Straps can be completely removed and repositioned on outer surface of splints for precise strap positioning. All aluminum edges are completely padded. Interior is covered with 1/8"-thick closed-cell foam.
Sizing: Measure width of hand at MP joints from radial aspect of index finger to ulnar aspect of little finger.
Small: 2-1/4" to 2-3/4"
Medium: 2-3/4" to 3-1/4"
Large: 3-1/4" to 3-3/4"

FREEDOM® Thumbkeeper Family
Finally, an off-the-shelf splint that is quick and easy to fit while offering effective support for the
CMC/MP joint. Unlike most "pre-fabs" that fit poorly, our family of FREEDOM Thumbkeeper
splints combine the ease and convenience of an out-of-the-box splint
with the proper fit and moldability of a custom solution - simply trim
with scissors or modify with hot water when minor adjustments are
needed.
Full support with the freedom to function
These splints allow the IP joint to flex as the MP joint is maintained
in the preferred resting position without restricting or impeding your
patient's ability to perform.
Complete comfort
The FREEDOM Standard Thumbkeeper and Low-Profile Thumbkeeper
