AliMed® Roll-Control Belt with Alarm is an exceptional alarm solution, perfect for your restless, high-fall risk patients. These alarmed bed belts keep patients securely in bed, yet allow them to roll freely from side to side and even sit up, all without causing false alarms. As soon as the patient attempts to unfasten the belt, the alarm sounds. The patient must then continue unfastening an additional 12" of hook-and-loop belt before it is possible to get up, giving the caregiver time to respond.
CAUTION: These devices are not restraints! They are designed to be
easily opened and removed by most patients. The determination as to the
appropriateness of the Early Warning EZ Release Seatbelt, EZ Release
Seatbelt and the Buckled Seatbelt with either hook-and-loop closure or
with the quick-release seatbelt buckle for a specific patient is the
responsibility of the facility and its professional and medical staff.
Why use them?
• Patient can move freely without causing false alarms
• Easy to release, yet hinders patient from getting out of bed (Not considered a restraint for patients who are physically able to unfasten the belt)
• No weight requirements
