More About This Product
AliMed® E-Z Release Seatbelt Hook-and-loop fastener belts are ideal for high-risk,
active patients. Once patient begins unfastening
belt, alarm is triggered. After triggering alarm,
patient must unfasten an additional 12" of hook-and-loop fastener before they are free to rise.
CAUTION: These devices are not restraints! They are designed to be easily opened and removed by most patients. The determination as to the appropriateness of the Early Warning EZ Release Seatbelt, EZ Release Seatbelt and the Buckled Seatbelt with either hook-and-loop closure or with the quick-release seatbelt buckle for a specific patient is the responsibility of the facility and its professional and medical staff.
Seatbelt Sensors
When a patient attempts to stand,
Seatbelt Sensors* for both wheelchairs
and standard chairs provide a quick
reminder to stay seated.
EZ-Release Seatbelts are triggered as
soon as the belt is unfastened and Early
Warning E-Z Release Seatbelts offer
the same E-Z Release trigger along with
12 additional inches of belt to undo before
a patient can attempt to stand. Buckled Seatbelts use a familiar car-style seatbelt to
help confused or disoriented patients stay
safely seated.
For quick and easy, tool-free mounting of
seatbelt sensors to wheelchairs, standard
side chairs, or geri-chairs, use the UniLoop
attachment, sold separately (see bottom).
*Not considered a restraint for patients who
are physically able to unfasten a belt.
Seatbelts are compatible with all AliMed
Fall Alarms.
